Oh no. It's happening again.......!

Post by Bobtra69 on Fri Dec 19, 2014 8:48 am

Oh dear, it's Xmas and Jordans have got two bikes I dearly want in their showroom!!

Firstly the yellow S1000RR but mainly the absolutely bonkers looking KTM RC8 with a Zero One wrap on the bodywork.

I just happen to be in the area tomorrow as well!

Oh dear, don't think Tracey's going to like the new bit of furnitue in her newly decorated living room.

Sad

Only problem was it wasn't RC8R but plenty cheap for £7k.

Yes I will be sticking with ZX but for that money I would have had RC8 and turned Zx into track bike.

don't like the S1000rr though.

848 still there....

Don't know why but Streetfighters seem to hold their value more than their sports bike variants?

maybe cos they are rarer??

anyway Robbie that's what you should've bought instead of the GSR!

If i could afford a streetfighter i would have bought 1  - not sure how much they cost to service as i bet that wont be cheap either?

Still waiting for part of the tail unit for mine - dealer sent a new tailunit but sent a side piece instead of a piece for the tail - dopy sods (6 or 7 weeks and it's still not sorted)

Robby, it's a Ducati so it won't be cheap but the engine in the 848/1098/1198 was the first to run with chain driven cams so no belt change every 200 miles!!! I think service intervals were increased to 6000 miles as well.

Really is a bummer with your bodywork woes, good job it's off season is the only good point.

Ah thought the Dukes still had belts?

The tailpiece is really pissin me off as it's taking so long, i told them twice i would send the bike back if they didn't send a new unit out which they did in the end, i don't know why they sent a side panel instead of the missing piece apart from them being thick.
I was looking at similar bikes in case i did return it but nothing elase came close price wise with the same spec and extras - they had another at this dealers in standard form at £600 more, they admitted they'd priced mine up wrong which i now believe Laughing

It'll be ready before the nice weather gets here Cool

Gorgeous in white aren't they? You not tempted?

Also been drooling over the MV Agusta 675 in Jordans. Now that would look good in the living room!

My mistake, still on belts at that point. Tis the 1199/899 panigale that's on chain driven cams now.

it was john who sold me the last GSR and a GSXR750 before that - he wouldn't haggle even with no p/x and wouldn't allow any test rides.
I wouldn't buy from them again because of their selling procedures

p.s - got my last bits for my bike from the dealers yesterday so it's all back together and looking sweeet bounce
