Hey jacko - if you have your internet switched off does it not record?
I was looking at these systems but switch off the power to the router when i'm not online - i'm assuming the cctv stops working then?

firstly you shouldnt turn router off at all, secondly the cctv records onto a dvr either 500gb or 1tb so the images are stored on my hord drive not the net, the web only allows me to view what my dvr is recording...
only paid £130 all in dvr 500gb hd and 4 cameras and all wiring, but i used cat 5..

Easy to install? You had to drill through any walls to feed the cables?

yeah youve got to get power and video cables from inside to outside. but yeah easy enough to do, 1 run of cat 5 to power all 4 cameras and another cat 5 to run all video from each camera into house and into dvr.
