Was there something wrong with the brakes in the first place? Is that why you started braking so early on the back straight at Teeside?

Yeah they were shit!! You can nearly get brake lever to touch grips on standard gixer brakes!! Can now do two finger braking very easily :-)

Doesn't yours have gold spots? They are an upgrade they reccomend on gixer but they reckon blade 08+ callipers are even better upgrade

Nah the fazer only has blue spots, to be honest, they are all I'll ever need on the road! Ebc pads back in and oh what a difference :-)

Having said that, jacko's brakes must be fucked cos he started braking halfway down the straight!
He must go through a few sets of pads though, yesterday he braked for every little corner and crest!

Sold it
Bike was picked up yesterday so the hunt is on for a replacement before the good weather gets here.
Out of the 3 bikes on my list i've narrowed it down to 1
MT07 - bit too basic and will lose a lot in 12 months
GSR750 - basic swingarm, too smooth (lazy/ underpowered)
FZ8 - waiting for 2 dealers to get back to me with prices, look good in pearl white with gold wheels

Fz8????? Don't do it! Might as well at least go for an fz1 or an mt09 or a zthou or a cb1000r or an old fazer or a hornet 600, all better bikes than the fz8

Or a z1000 i wouldn't bother with a naked less than a thou, tammed down engine's and less aerodynamic than the sports versions make em a lot more user friendly....
Re: What did you do to your bike today??
I thought the FX8 was a decent bike? got some good reviews

1000 is a bit much for the road, 600 a bit weedy so 750-800 seems just right
