clutch switch....
might sound daft but, what does the clutch switch do on my bike, zx10r e8f, bike starts with clutch in or out, so what else does it do, i only ask as want to rotate my clucth lever doen and the switch is catching on the bar....cheers folks..
Re: clutch switch....
It will have some link to the ECU. I know if you disable the switch on a gixer so you don't have to clutch in every time you start the bike it will auto set a lower power map on the bike!
The new ZX are computer crazy so it might do something to the ignition in anticipation of a gear change.
You tried seeing what google reckons?

Think its linked to a safety feature of ensuring the bike isnt in gear when you start it from quick skim of the tinter web.
Unplug it and see what happens
