clutch switch.... Empty clutch switch....

might sound daft but, what does the clutch switch do on my bike, zx10r e8f, bike starts with clutch in or out, so what else does it do, i only ask as want to rotate my clucth lever doen and the switch is catching on the bar....cheers folks.. Very Happy

It will have some link to the ECU. I know if you disable the switch on a gixer so you don't have to clutch in every time you start the bike it will auto set a lower power map on the bike! 

The new ZX are computer crazy so it might do something to the ignition in anticipation of a gear change.

You tried seeing what google reckons?

I only know that my ZX wont start in gear, has to be in neutral, don't know if that's owt to do with it?

Think its linked to a safety feature of ensuring the bike isnt in gear when you start it from quick skim of the tinter web. 

Unplug it and see what happens
